Ema Berta

(Sintra, 1944 – Cascais, 2021) – Her work is widely recognized in the context of Portuguese painting of the late 20th century and beginning of the 21st century. She developed a pictorial language based on vigorous chromatic strokes and characterized by a type of new figuration influenced by expressionism.
