Pedro Casqueiro

Born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1959, where he currently lives and works. Pedro Casqueiro completed the course of Painting at the School of Fine Arts of Lisbon in 1984. He had his first solo exhibition in 1981 at Galeria Tempo, in Lisbon.
Since then he has participated in several group exhibitions. In 1997, the Modern Art Center – Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (CAM-FCG) dedicated an extensive retrospective exhibition to him.
His work is represented in several public and private collections, including: CAM-FCG, Luso-American Development Foundation, Ministry of Culture and PLMJ Foundation, all in Lisbon, as well as in the Serralves Foundation, in Porto.
He was awarded the Revelation Drawing Prize at the 2nd Cerveira International Art Biennale (1980) and the Painting Acquisition Prize at the 5th Cerveira International Art Biennale (1986).
