Robert Schad

Born in Ravensburg, Germany in 1953. Robert Schad began his artistic studies in 1974 at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Karlsruhe. He won an employment exchange at the School of Fine Arts of Porto, Portugal. He currently lives between Larians, France, and Chamosinhos, Portugal.
Over the years, he was awarded several grants, such as the Grant of the German Academic Exchange Service for professional participation in the School of Fine Arts of Porto (1980-1981).
He is represented in several public and private collections, in the country and abroad.
He has had several solo exhibitions, has participated in multiple multidisciplinary projects, especially involving sculpture and dance, and has created several public works, including the Alta Cruz [High Cross] of the Sanctuary of Fátima.
He was awarded the Drawing Prize at the III Cerveira International Art Biennale (1982).
