Rute Rosas

Born in Porto, Portugal in 1972. Rute Rosas obtained an undergraduate and Masters’ degree in Art and Design, Specialty of Fine Arts, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), having completed her PhD in Multimedia Art.
She has been a Professor at the Fine Arts Department of FBAUP since 1999 – the first Sculpture female professor at the University of Porto in this area of ​​knowledge.
Since 1996, she has held several solo exhibitions, conceived, participated, collaborated and organized numerous events, such as group exhibitions, workshops, courses and public conferences in several countries. She has received awards and distinctions and is represented in numerous institutions and private collections in Portugal, Spain, Italy, England and Brazil.
She is an Integrated Researcher Member of CITCEM and a Collaborating Researcher Member of I2ADS.
She was awarded the Revelation Prize at the XIII Cerveira International Art Biennale (2005).
