Samuel Rama

Born in Coimbra, Portugal in 1977. Samuel Rama holds a degree in Fine Arts from the School of Fine Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha (Polytechnic Institute of Leiria), where he has been teaching since 2003, and a PhD in Visual and Intermedia Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
He has held several solo exhibitions since 2004 and regular participations in group exhibitions since 2003 in Portugal, Spain, France, England, Italy and Brazil.
In addition to the Museum of the Cerveira Biennale, his work is represented in the collections of the Manuel de Brito Art Center, MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, and in MAR (Museum of Art of RIO, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), among other institutions.
He was awarded the Acquisition Prize by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira at the XV Cerveira International Art Biennale (2009).
