The exhibition “Orgânico Racional” on the work of the architect Pedro Ramalho, on show between June and September 2019 at the Casa Gallery, curated by Nuno Brandão Costa and based on a look at his collection donated to the Casa da Arquitectura, is based on a selection of ten works by the Oporto architect built in the Oporto district from the 1960s to the present day, depicting various programs and scales of intervention.

According to Nuno Brandão Costa, the intention here is to “reveal the importance, singular quality and coherence of his body of work, demonstrating the physical and conceptual resistance of his buildings and the timelessness of his architecture, impervious to trends, stylistic fads, currents or critical agendas.”

The exhibition entitled “”Orgânico Racional” proposes a vision-synthesis on the work of the architect Pedro Ramalho, conceived based on a look at his collection recently donated to the Casa da Arquitetura. The exhibition aims to reveal the importance, singular quality and coherence of his body of work, demonstrating the physical and conceptual resilience of his buildings and the timelessness of his architecture, impervious to trends, stylistic fads, currents or critical agendas.
