Casa do Design presents a regular program focused on exhibitions that prompt reflection and debate on contemporary design culture or, from another perspective, that investigate, collect and preserve historical knowledge linked to the evolution of design in its various areas. Among the various exhibitions presented in recent years, the highlights include Motos de Portugal (2017), a cultural experience around the national production of motorbikes and mopeds as a reflection of Portuguese society; Imprimere – Arte e Processo in the 250 years of the National Press (2018), a joint organisation with the National Press as part of its 250th anniversary; SINAL – 100 Years of Design in Telecommunications and Post in Portugal (2019), with Altice and CTT – Correios de Portugal, or Portugal Pop. Fashion in Portuguese. 1970-2020 (2022), a co-production with MUDE – Museu do Design e da Moda, in an exhibition on national fashion and its multiple references and influences over the last 50 years.
